Mead Residence Hall

 

The Mead Residence Hall is a year-round building. During the summer field season, Mead provides long-term lodging for scientists and students working in the area for some or all of the field season.

Pets allowed?: Lower level bedrooms only – must enter/exit at south end of building or rear single door into hall

  • Kellner Room – 4 (one is high loft)

  • Separate men’s and women’s restrooms/showers on upper level
  • Two individual restrooms with shower stall on lower level
  • Dining room deck with gas grill (LP fuel provided)
  • Library & Lounge features a small meeting space with mounted LCD projector, screen and white board
  • Fireplaces on both levels (dining room and lower level library/lounge)
  • Laundry room with coin-operated washer & dryer; soap and dryer sheet vending
  • Guest rooms have closet and drawer space (platform bed drawers or dresser for high loft), ceiling fan/light, desk/reading lamps, cork/white board, small shelves with hooks
  • Air conditioned

Meal preparation & dining: Double kitchen and dining room in building (Kitchen is equipped with refrigerator/freezers, microwaves, rice cooker & steamer, food processor, crock-pot, coffee makers, toasters, pots and pans, plates, bowls, cups, glasses, cooking and eating utensils, food preparation tools such as cutting boards, colanders.) No consumables are provided, including paper napkins or paper towels.
